OUR PEOPLE

ECI Drilling International, LLC has assembled a team of professionals experienced with multinational business operations. This team is prepared to manage the growth and demands of global clientele seeking quality solutions to challenging underground installations. All of our field managers/superintendents have 10 years or more of directional drilling experience and have excellent working knowledge of HDD and the associated tools and equipment used in the horizontal directional drilling industry.

We firmly believe that a combination of key professionals possessing a commitment to quality will produce results for ECI and its clients. ECI personnel have earned various awards including the completion of the world record lateral crossing and prestigious subcontractor of the year designation. ECI’s outstanding management team is comprised of some of the most capable and experienced administrative and operational personnel in the industry.

KEY PERSONNEL

Bruce E. Brasher

President

bruceAfter serving a four year tour throughout Europe and Asia in the U.S Navy, Bruce studied at LSU Shreveport and Louisiana Tech. In 1977 Bruce accepted a position with Joel R. Brown Engineering providing well site geology and drilling management to independent oil and gas producers operating in the Southwest U.S.

In 1985 Bruce moved to Seattle, Washington to work in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for White Engineering, Inc., where he managed several drilling projects for major oil companies operating on land and offshore.

Returning to the south in 1989, Bruce accepted the position of HDD Drilling Manager with A&L Underground, Inc. of Alvin, Texas. Responsible for all drilling operations, project estimating and client relations, A&L Underground immediately expanded, installing large diameter HDD pipelines throughout the lower 48 states and Mexico.

A group of investors offered Bruce a partnership and the position of Vice President within the newly formed company in 1993. Under his direction ECI transformed from a single one rig operation to five drilling rigs providing HDD services throughout Asia, Canada, the Caribbean and the U.S. Over the next 17 years Bruce was instrumental in making ECI the industry leader in shore approaches working on complex fiber optic projects throughout the world.

Bruce acquired the remaining shares from ECI’s previous investors in 2010 to become the sole owner. From there ECI continued their operations providing HDD services though out the county until the opportunity arose to join Northeast Remsco Construction, Inc.


Greg Horn

Vice President

Greg Horn started his career in HDD work in 1992 providing as-built drawings for completed projects. He has worn many hats throughout the years including Surveying, Steering Engineer, Project Coordinator, Project Management, Project Design and estimating. Greg is well versed in pipeline, shore approach, electrical, fiber and municipality HDD installations. Previous clients include the US Navy, NASA and Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Center.


Dustin Brasher

Estimator/Engineer

dustinDustin Brasher is the Estimator / Engineer and Project Manager for ECI Drilling International, LLC. Dustin is responsible for project estimating, HDD design, pre job startups, including pre bid meetings, submittals, scheduling and project management. Dustin began working in the HDD industry with ECI in 1999, completing projects throughout North America and Puerto Rico before pursuing his degree. After receiving his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington he returned to horizontal directional drilling. For the next 8 years Dustin traveled throughout North America, South America and Japan as a Guidance Engineer at Horizontal Technology Inc., completing HDD projects with a wide range of complexity for numerous contractors. After extensive traveling Dustin took the opportunity to rejoin ECI Drilling International, LLC in his current role. His knowledge of HDD guidance tools, HDD drill designs and portfolio of completed projects assist ECI in providing a wide range of solutions targeting the increasing challenges within the Horizontal Directional Drilling Industry.
